Don’t wait , the day is cold and blind,
No sun remains to warm your mind.
You walk the streets that never change,
Where every smile feels dark and strange.
You scan the crowd with silent hope,
A tale, a spark and a way to cope.
But dreams grow cold, then lose their hold,
Like ships once brave, no longer bold.
They gave you life "Go live," they said,
But left you hollow, filled with dread.
Your soul once full, now turned to stone,
You chased the noise, yet felt alone.
Speak truth they’ll call you poor or weak,
Resist and still, they’ll curse your cheek.
But child, your soul remains so pure,
They fear what's clean it can’t endure.
